My... It's been a really really long time since I posted hasn't it?

Well, a lot has happened of course... Significantly, I'm so done with my 3 weeks orientation in YST, and today I officially start school again!

In fact, I'm in YST's Music Tech room right now. Supposed to have my first Music Concepts and Materials class at 9am, but it's cancelled.. Gosh, to think that I woke up at 7am today, in a mad rush.

Anyways, now that I'm studying again, I know there's a lot that's going to be expected out of me. I'll have to brace myself for the workload that's coming in and manage my time really well. I pray to God to give me strength and courage to keep going. I hinge on my loved ones to give me their support and encouragement through this phase of my life. I put faith upon myself to always think positively and be the best that I can be.

I can never thank my parents enough for all that they've given and done for me.

With all that said, I hope not to be a disappointment. In fact, I dare not to. InsyaAllah, this phase of my life will make me stronger than ever. Let me learn all that I can now to face the world in the coming years.

I'm ready.. bring it on!

I turned 19 last Monday, 29th June!

In tandem with my birthday, this blog is now 2 years old! Hooray :)
New song for the blog, after a long hiatus of composing. (Well it's not that, just that I've been creating song arrangements more than composing my own songs) Pardon the sad mood! I just felt like creating something sad and this was an impromptu. Done with Ayu and LogicPro in about 2 hours. Naufal said it makes him feel sleepy though.. But hope you like it!

My birthday celebration was a memorable one, and praise be to Allah, for blessing me with such loving family members and friends.

I had chocolate birthday cake! :D:D:D

The most precious gift of all was having to spent quality time with my family at home...

Thanks to all who wished me!

By the way, please drop my Gendang Akustika's new website for updates on our activities yea!
Blogposts, videos and pictures can be found here:

Till next time! Look forward to more compositions. I think I'm going to set up my own myspace music soon...

I have to postpone my blog post about my holiday to Sabah, as I do not have the pictures with me! All of them are with my sister, and knowing her... well it'll take ages before I have them in hand. So that post will be up on a later date.

In this post,  I'd just like to take the opportunity to express my sorrow on hearing the mournful news of Michael Jackson's death. It was this morning that I woke up, and checked my handphone to be shocked by an SMS sent by my cheeky brother Naufal...

Michael Jackson died today...
1958-2009
(You could have just told me in person instead of SMSing like that)

I would have known about it later anyways. But the news really shocked me and left me in disbelief at first. To be told such news at the start of my day! I'm truly saddened by his death.

What struck me the most is how the world is impacted by his death. It's unbelievable how one man's death shook the world so much. Well, he was afterall, the King of Pop, and it is a great loss to all. His music, his dance and his style fascinates many and he was, and continues to be a great inspiration to all his fans. He is a fine example for using music to bring positive messages to the world, such as "Heal the World", "We are the World", "Black or White" and "What About Us". He shows that he cares about the people and the world, and I'm truly in awe of that.

Michael Jackson...

You may have bid the world goodbye, but your music continues to live on.

Hey all...

HOME SWEET HOME! I'm back from my holiday from SABAH! Just returned today at 12.30pm, and... wow, isn't it great to be back at my mac again! Oh how I missed it soooo much...

But my second visit to Kota Kinabalu was really fun and I've had memorable experiences. This time I went with my family; mum, dad, sis and bro-in-law's family. Went snorkeling, tried jet skiing, saw dozens of komodo dragons up close, bathed in Poring Springs, visited the museums and state mosque, went shopping, more shopping and even more shopping!

I shall update them all in a later post. Too tired to blog now!

By the way, while I was away, you may have noticed a spammer called "darling :)". I was shocked to see the messages, but I assure you I have no idea who this rude person is and have no relation with that person whatsoever.

To whoever you are, I deleted your disgusting sickening messages but I have your IP address with me. You are the same spammer at Asya's blog and we are going to take serious action on you.

Good riddance...

DynamicWorkz Piano Competition 2009 (13th June)!

It was a pleasant experience! Thank you to my supporters who came down... My family; mum and dad, Kak Saly, Naufal. My friends; Uncle, Giant, Atiqah, Yagnya, Aiman, Kak Ana & Kak Imah! Thanks so much!

I didn't get into the finals, and the chances was really slim! 5 finalists chosen out of 25 contestants. Not disheartened at all. In fact I'm quite satisfied with my performance. Even though there were many glitches (haha! I hit the wrong notes a lot of time), I'm glad it generally went smoothly without any breaks at all. It could have been better, I admit. I was stiff and too cautious; afraid that I would get stuck and mind-blank in the middle of the performance and not be able to move on. Thank God that didn't happen, despite the lack of preparation that I had!

Here's a video (taken illegally) of me playing:

Another video to share...

How could I forget about sharing this??? GA's Penawar Rindu, at the wedding show on 6th June...

The cameraperson tilted the camera at the end... -_-" Sorry about that!

A fun performance it was! :D Great job GA-ians!
